Ok was I the only moron that took the interactive live IQ test on Fox tonight?
Well I will start by saying that I scored 126 but in my defense, some of the questions where seriously flawed. An example: If a small bag of chips costs $.75 and exactly 2 small bags fit in a large bag, then how much would 40 large bags cost? Ok the logical answer is that there is no way to know. They dont provide you with the cost of a large bag.
I also missed two questions because I couldnt concentrate on both the time and the question so time ran out and the question dissappeared. Also I thought that I would be able to change my answer within the time limit and that wouldnt work either. Once you pressed an answer, if you had 20 secs left you couldn't change it.
So I am confident that I could have done better with a better exam, but all in all it was fun. They compared all of the scores from across the nation and the two most significant facts were that Men scored an avg of 2 points higher than women, and a town in VA scored the highest average. Get this, a town in VA had 40,000 people take the test and the avg score was 138!!! No offense to those in VA, but to me, that has to be some kind of scoring error. The top score in the studio was 138 and that person was a Scientist, so I find it hard to believe that 40,000 people in one town scored an average 8 points above genious level.
But hey, thats why they call me Cynical... :) |
