| I would advise you stick to the old drivers. The v41.09 drivers will mainly benefit the GeForce 4 series cards. However, your v21.81 drivers are quite old, and you may want to search around the net for some Detonator XP 3x.xx series (make sure they are "WHQL") drivers that will likely give you a performance boost. |

Please tell me the problems with the GF3.
How is someone going to test a peice of hardware for bugs?
What games are unstable with AMD?
I have Redhat 7.3 with an nvidia based card and it runs fine.
When you post on these forums, or any forums for that matter please be ready to back up *facts* that you have stated, Cuase from the looks of it your talking out your ass.

you want the facts well here they are take a amd athalon 1700 or a amd duron pop in a g force 3 find any game you can download into 2d or 3d then load up 2d then try to load 3d. you cant because most patch drivers are unstable with this combination and if you want to know how to test it take the vid card and pop it into a comp with integrated video connect 2 plug and play monitors up. then fire it up. r-click on my computer go to hardware acceleration make sure its turned all the way down. then install the nvidia driver. then search windows for pc cillin a diagnostic tool from windows 98. then run ghost under the pc cillin menu it should only show picture on the integrated then the non integrated will flash 4 to five times. if it flashes more or less it means the built in chipset is not functioning right.or if you have a compaq the bios is built into the hardedrive which prevents the vid driver from fully loading theres the facts. also watch out for these cards too Jaton 3Dforce4 Mx440Twin they have the same problems. |

It's hard to read your posts with the horrible grammar, spelling and the lack of knowledge about computer hardware and the concepts of microcomputers.
Put time into your post, and actually make it worth while to read, and then you might actually have credit behind your name. To me your another AOL'er that *thinks* he knows a lot when the reality is you know j4ck sh!t Yay, another script kiddie to deal with. . .
You’re taking 1 CASE as an example, and this is YOUR case. Just because it doesn’t work for you doesn’t mean it won’t work for others. Maybe you just don’t know wtf you’re doing? Have you ever thought about that?
For the first case are you using drivers that were on the CD, or drivers that you downloaded off the NVIDIA site? What versions if you can recall? Or do you know that when you first install the video card you’ll need to install drivers so you can get the FULL functionality out of the card.
Lot’s of people have AMD based systems and NVIDIA graphic cards (Like myself) and games work perfectly fine. I think this case it’s a “I D 10T user error.”
Jaton 3dForce4 MX440T? Where do you live? Where do you get your hardware, from a 10 year old kid from an island off Pakistan? How about you try using a well known video card such as MSI, Abit, Leadtek, Matrox, ATI etc. Then you wont run into this *issues* you seem to be having. Are you sure the video cards you *think* don’t work aren’t onboard? Onboard meaing that there integrated into the motherboard – motherboard the main piece of hardware which you connect all your other hardware devices to.
Do you buy all your computers from HP or Compaq, because you seem like an E-machine person to me?
