yo whoever is having problems with enemies killing each other i figured it out. You only need to create one "company", inside that company you can have as many platoons and teams you want. Each company kinda represents another enemy even to the enemies in the game. So just create one company and as many platoons and teams under that company as you want!! It was nice when i finally did it because when i launched the mission there was no firefighting going on without me at the other end of it!!!! hope this helps and I'm sure it will. Later, W4C_SnIpY

Is there anyway to make it so something happens when your team enters a zone?
Any help? |

Yes, you can use proximity-zone-triggers in the script.
When a player comes near a zone the trigger will be activated and you can set responses in the trigger-block, like spawning actors, executing plans for actors/vehicles etc.
To do this you first need a reference for the player controlled team/platoon so the script can recognize you (player platoon).
In Igor script-editor goto Tags and select PlatoonRef, give it a name (like Ghosts or Player Platoon), press Add. Done, back to script.
OK now you got a tag for the player platoon.
Create a new script-block: Startup, responses: VariableSetPlatoon: select 1st your tag 'Ghosts or Player Platoon' and 2nd GetPlayerPlatoon (need to hit edit/query).
It will look like this Set Ghosts/Player Platoon to the player-controlled platoon.
Look in original missions for example.
Now the proximity-trigger:
Create a zone on the map, give it a name (ie.: TriggerZone).
Create a new script-block (like the Startup-block): ProximityPlatoon.
After editing it should look like this:
A member of Ghosts/Player Platoon is within 10 meters of TriggerZone.
Then add responses, like an enemy-team is coming to the zone, or a tank is moving, anything.
Thats basicly it.
Don't use a too small zone, because you can run over it without activating the trigger. |

Yeah hi all
looks like Im running back a year or 2 ...lol
But I like the concept of GR very much and see the number of players r stabile. This is my motivation to still learn IGOR Scripting.
I have found the IGOR Basic Guide & its advanced sequel and thats just the case! I CANT READ THE DRAWINGS IN THE GUIDE, ONLY the words in text i can read. Is this normal?
I just need some easy examples of how triggering events work.
