You might have seen a heads-up for a GameSpy news item or heard some whispering from darkened corners, but now it is official: Rainbow Six 4 has been announced. Releases can be found here and here - still no green man in sight though.
It appears that developers are continuing the Xbox style of character-driven play, and players will once again be given control of Ding Chavez, as well as Dieter Weber this time. Follow the links for more details from the press release, or come discuss this in our forums.
LOL, nice find GB! I'm especially excited about the part of the news release that says: "PlayStation®2 uses a new Graphic engine specially developed by Red Storm Entertainment to reach unprecedented graphical & technical achievement for the most intense gunfights offered to PS2 owners."
Just added another tidbit above. I also got word from someone that the press release isn't just smoke and mirrors--RSE is really working on part of this, and they're excited about it. That's always good to know. :)
