GameSpot has an article about Ubisoft's annual report that states a 22.5% increase in sales in the last year. Here's a quote:Ubisoft's confidence in steadily expanding income can be summed up in two words: Tom Clancy. Three franchises inspired by the ever-popular author--Splinter Cell, Ghost Recon, and Rainbow Six--have been big hits for the publisher. All debuted in the top 10 best-sellers list, and sequels in each series are already far along in development. So even though PC gamers may not like some of the changes made to the Rainbow and Ghost franchises, they can't deny that Ubisoft has made some very savvy business decisions ... especially considering the number of game publishers that have fallen by the wayside in the past few years. |
