GameSpot is reporting that Athena Sword will not ship this November as previously expected, but rather in early 2004. Although this is disappointing news for R6 fans, if that's what it takes to get a better product, it's all good with me.In a brief statement, the company cited fan "concerns" as the reason for the tactical shooter's delay. "In keeping with our dedication to create excellent products, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 3: Athena Sword, will now be releasing in early 2004," said the statement. "This later release date will allow for us to develop the top quality game we know our fans have come to expect from Ubisoft."
**UPDATE: C&VG has a story that states Athena Sword may still be on track:According to Ubisoft UK, the delayed-till-2004 statement appeared due to "some mistake made with communication" and that, as always stated, Athena Sword will arrive on November 28 this year - in Europe anyway.
