The latest Tom Clancy novel was released without too much fanfare this week. The title is The Teeth of the Tiger and the story takes place in the "Jack Ryan Universe". You can download the first chapter of the novel at Amazon here.
Many critics have said Clancy has written himself into a corner with Jack Ryan being the U.S. President, so I was curious how this would be overcome. After quickly flipping through the book at my local Chapters yesterday, it looks like Mr. Clancy is shifting his attention to the next-generation ... the story focuses on Jack Ryan, Jr.! Looks like the focus on a younger character in the last two Jack Ryan novels will help the Tom Clancy movie franchise too. |
