I don't know if anyone else has noticed, but all the biggest military first-person shooter franchises are heading towards the jungles. Are they following the lead of Island Thunder?
  • Electronic Arts has just announced that the sequel to Battlefield 1942 will be called Battlefield Vietnam.
  • Another hit EA franchise, Medal of Honor, will be heading to the jungles of Thailand and the Pacific Islands in MoH: Rising Sun and MoH: Pacific Assault.
  • Part of the upcoming expansion pack DF: Black Hawk Down - Team Sabre will take place in the Columbian jungles.
  • Operation Flashpoint 2 will feature locales in Southeast Asia.
  • Vietcong has recently been released, and the demo is worth a look to see how it compares to GR:IT.

If they do Battlefield Vietnam, I think they should get the development team of Eve of Destruction to do it. They really, in my opinion, are the next big mod besides DC.

Those guys must have worked hard and long to make that and they should be included in something they have made popular.
