June 3rd is the release date for the deluxe DVD edition of Ridley Scott's powerful chronicle of how U.S. special ops soldiers supported each other during the 1992 battle in Mogadishu, Somalia. Featuring much more material than last year's original DVD release, check out what's packed onto the full 3-disc set here. Offering the most realistic and brutal portrayal of modern urban combat to date, this film went on to win two Academy Awards for 2001.
On a semi-related note, the Black Hawk Down game was the #1 selling PC game for April 2003! Some of you may remember we aired some concerns about Novalogic's approach to the game. Well, IGN had this to say about it: "The game may boast absolutely nothing in terms of artificial intelligence and story development, but it does offer some incredibly intense, graphically fulfilling action from front to back, which seems to be more than enough for the general PC game playing audience." |
