I often wish that all fans of the Tom Clancy series of games could attempt the task of completing a modification, if only to understand the hard work and dedication that it takes to accomplish. The first and foremost difficulty is that mod authors must set aside time apart from, in most cases, their full-time jobs or schooling to create something that may never gain them anything tangible. There are no "Mod Medals", not many forms of recognition, and certainly no monetary gain in relation to creating modifications. An even more difficult task is to assemble a team of authors dedicated enough to see a project through to the end.

After completing the recently released mod entitled Frostbite, all I can say is that I am proud to have members of our community that were dedicated enough to complete what is in my view the most professional modification in the history of the Tom Clancy line of games. This mod also holds the distinction of being the most extensive mod to date. The countless months of work, the hours on end of creation and testing, should be recognized.

I would like to personally congratulate all of the members of the Frostbite team, and tip my hat to a job that is difficult even for me to fathom. Further, I would like to go on record as saying that this is the first modification that in my opinion meets or exceeds those products released by Red Storm Entertainment and/or Ubi Soft. This modification, in all aspects, is a completely marketable product, lacking only the means for packaging and distibution on a national or international level.

Congratulations again guys. The Cynical in me must for once take a back seat as I can see the possibilities of a team of hard-working and dedicated artists.

Knowing that Ghost Recon has begun a slow fade into the darkness as of late, I can only assure you that this modification is well worth the price of re-installing Ghost Recon and both mission packs. Go here for more information on Frostbite and discover for yourself what members of your community are capable of.

DITTO!!

I'm simply gob smacked by Frostbite. Couldn't say it any better than Cynical Saint . . . simply awesome, the Expansion that RSE should have done, but I'm glad now they didn't

This is what the web was developed for! Frostbite isn't a mod - It's a full expansion pack. These guys have not only spent time developing a retail quality product but have done so for the love of Ghost Recon, modding and gamers like you and I. If you have GR and broadband, not to download this mod is an insult. (It really is that good.)

For anyone on 56k - these guys will even copy Frostbite onto a cd for you (provided you send them a CD-R and postage paid envelope).

Don't think about downloading this - just do it.

Frostbite developers - keep doing what you do, we gamers appreciate it. (No personal recommendation high enough)
