Island Thunder is so hard, in fact, that even a rabid Recon fan like myself had to resort to the Recruit difficulty setting — and even then, I saved frequently to allow for inevitable squad-decimating ambushes. Working through missions in co-op mode with our own Billy Harms, we were riddled with bullets and hammered by grenades. Our first successful mission was cause for much roaring and fist-pumping exultation.
