This is always a question that is beaten to death but here goes. Did the usual forum search. Tried all the suggestions to no avail. From what I can tell the ports required to be open are from 2346-2348. Everything as far as the computer goes works fine. The server window pops up, can be edidted as supposed to. No matter what we do, we can't get the server to broadcast to be seen. I can't even see it on my other computer that is connected to the same router. I have a Netopia 3347NWG. I don't have port forwarding on this but what is called "Pin Holes". I've created those for GR but still a NO GO. Another team mate tried on his computer but we get the same results. No show or can't even direct connect to the IP. Thanks for any help.

I know this sounds simple, but the most common prob I see is have you double checked to see you have turned off any software firewalls (Norton, ZoneAlarm, Windows XP SP2's own firewall)

Yes, even went into the FireWall settings and allowed those ports to be open. Also tried with the FireWall off.

Or that our forums don't get that much traffic

Are you using any fan-made dedicated server software? Or just the default one that comes with the game?

The most puzzling thing is why you can't see the server with your other computer behind the same router. That should be no problem. Have you tried setting up a server under the LAN settings (not internet) to see if your other networked computer can see it?

No, haven't tried that. I am using the default game server launch, no added software. I'll have to try the LAN to see if the ports are really open. There's no way in the router software to tell other than clicking on the setting after restarting router to see if the modification took. Which it did.

I finally got my server up. I couldn't get it going with Router Modem. It's running on a straight cable modem now. HKS GR Server.
