Interesting thing happened to me today. I just did a reinstall on my firewall (didnt upgrade SSH in time... got rooted), and was puttin XFree86 back on. I started it up just to see if I got my config right, but for about 5 seconds I could see my old background that I used before the reinstall. That background is NOWHERE on my firewall (formated it goooood), and I don't even have windowmaker installed yet (what I used before). So that background must have come from the RAM on my video card still goin strong... even after multiple restarts!

So now I'm just wondering if anyone else has had any unusual experience with their video cards...

Oh yea... it's a Voodoo3 2000 PCI...

wow, that is really interesting. Can't say that I have ever experienecd that before.
