Perfect_Dark_96 Private USA 20 Posts	Posted - 07/11/2002 : 08:20:22 AM i bought it. thats mainly why. and with my luck ill end up screwing up somthing and the computer will blow up when i turn it on :P is there software or a driver or somthing i can download to fix this problem? if i made my computer i wouldnt have put a ****ty card in it. it woulda been a GeForce 3 or 4... So what if im a NeWb?
CR6 Administrator Canada 631 Posts	Posted - 07/11/2002 : 09:39:35 AM Yo Perfect Dark, don't give up yet, lots of people play RS with integrated Intel graphics. If you bought a recent Dell/Compaq etc, it may have the i845G motherboard which includes "Intel's Extreme Graphics" which is equivalent to a GeForce 2 MX, and should be able to run RS. Do any of your other games have problems? What I'd suggest to do is go to your Start menu > run > type "dxdiag" and hit enter to run the DirectX 8.1 diagnostic tool (comes with WinXP). Also try to download 3D Mark 2000 (not 2001) to see how fast your computer can run a DirectX 7 game, and let us know your score.

So does America's Army. ill run the Direct X diag and i download that thing ill post the results in a min. So what if im a NeWb? ok Direct X dialoge works fine. i ran all teh tests and everything works. i cant find that file you told me about. can you post a link? that would be great.

I only get about 1000+ 3d Marks with my Pentium 200/Radeon 32MB/Win98SE rig, and I can run RS/UO/COE no problem, just sloooow fps ;-)

See this long list of other games that Intel's graphics has problems with ... perhaps RS probs are just not documented yet. http://support.intel.com/support/graphics/gaming/gc4.htm Your best bet is to find a support forum for users of integrated Intel graphics chips to see if they have other suggestions.
