Anyone ever notice that when you fire a bullet, it hits the target before the tracer gets to it?

....I saw in the gun files that it had properties of velocity coefficients... anyone have a quick rundown on what each one does?

also umm... read the post below I made about the Stationary Guns in Stronghold.... please? heh

These are the entries for the m60 in DS...

<VelocityCoefficient0>804</VelocityCoefficient0>
<VelocityCoefficient1>-0.735</VelocityCoefficient1>
<VelocityCoefficient2>0.0025</VelocityCoefficient2>

m98....

<VelocityCoefficient0>835</VelocityCoefficient0>
<VelocityCoefficient1>-0.77</VelocityCoefficient1>
<VelocityCoefficient2>0.004</VelocityCoefficient2>

...anyone know?

If you look at the editor in Igor there is a formula used with them. It's something like x*y^2+z.

Velocity coeffiecient0 is the muzzle velocity of your weapon, meters/second.
Velocity coefficient1 determines how much of the velocity is lost at x range.
Velocity coefficient2 is an adjustment value, which fine-tunes the entire calculation. This number is very, very important, and changing it even by 0.001 can have a very, very noticeable effect on your weapon.
