Talk about 3D heaven :-) One of the coolest announcements that came out of CES 2006 was Dell's XPS 600 Renegade Quad SLI PC. Not only did it show off Dell's new 30" UltraSharp 3007WFP LCD monitor (2560x1600 pixels), it also demonstrated Nvidia's Quad SLI technology with four GeForce 7800 GTX working together (the legacy of 3dfx's Voodoo 5 6000?) required to play 3D games at decent frame rates on the monster screen.
**UPDATE: The Inquirer has an article with rather amusing comments from Voodoo PC and Falcon Northwest about Dell's new gaming rig. |
