This past year has been an exciting one on the 3D front. Although ATI finally squeezed out limited quantities of the Radeon X1800 XT at the end of this year, Nvidia sat on top of the 3D world for most of the year with their GeForce 7800 GTX. ATI did see their star shine in the Xbox 360 which officially launched of the next generation of console gaming.
The 3D race in 2006 should be even more exciting as we will see how Nvidia and ATI's next product refresh stacks up: the GF 7900(?) vs the X1900.
There are a couple of good interviews I'd like to highlight with the CEOs of ATI and Nvidia from this past year that are really good reads:Interview with ATI CEO David Orton at Sonera PlazaInterview with Nvidia CEO Jen-Hsun Huang at Beyond3D |
