Just a mention about Steven Spielberg's latest movie Munich released this Christmas about the Munich massacre during the 1972 Olympics. According to Red Storm's own Covert Ops guide to counter-terrorism history, this was a major impetus for the development of CT forces in the West (especially Germany's GSG-9).
Spielberg emphasizes that events in the film are fictionalized ("inspired by real events"), and that he is not trying to provide answers but stir up discussion. |
