TechSpot has published an article that is the most comprehensive showdown between Nvidia's entire GeForce 6 series line-up vs. ATI's complete Radeon X series. It shows how some graphics chips are better with some game engines than others. For example ATI's flagship Radeon X850XT beats out Nvidia's GeForce 6800 Ultra SLI in both Half-Life 2 and Far Cry at hi-res, while Nvidia works best with the Doom 3 engine. The article ends off with some good recommendations about which is the best card for your price range.
