Thanks to Rocky at GR.net for pointing out that GRIN, the development studio responsible for the PC version of GR3, have stated the following on their website:"GRIN is currently working with Ubisoft to develop the PC version for the upcoming installment of one of the publisher’s major brands.
We at GRIN are excited and truly happy to be trusted with the development of this game and to bring the legacy forward on the PC. The name of the brand is a no brainer - but we leave it at that for the moment, going covert and stealthy just as it should be.
We want the fans to know that we are fans ourselves and are working hard to bring the classic feeling into the new product. The great thing about Grin's statement is that it recognizes the concerns of many long-time GR fans about the direction the franchise is taking. The mention of "working hard to bring the classic feeling" echoes a campaign started in the GR.net forums, and reassures us that Grin is truly listening to the community!
