OS News reports their first impressions of Slackware 10; From the installation process, to the new features. Snippet of the review:
"The installation process using the standard Slackware installer was a breeze, as it was with the previous version. I honestly believe that Slackware's reputation for being difficult to install is not just undeserved but quite wrong, particularly in the case of servers being installed by system administrators who presumably have a basic level of Linux knowledge. Overall, the process is certainly no more demanding than any other mainstream distro that requires users to make choices about their installation."

Take a look at this 'review' of Slackware 10 right here.

I finally installed slack 10 the other day.. It comes with the 2.4.26 kernel, but of course I had to grab a new kernel and use it. I'm now on 2.6.9 with C++ support.

Something else I have to mention is that I installed doom 3 yesterday at work in linux. The game works very well under Linux, but I have to continue to play to see how it compares to the install on WinXP Pro. I can play doom3 while war driving now. Yay!
