The June 2004 issue of PC Gamer (U.S. version) has started to appear on newsstands and features a preview of GR2. The author of the article voices several concerns with the changes in GR2 that appear to make a game geared toward the tastes of console gamers. Check out Dick Splash's summary of the article here at GR.net's forums.
Note that the preview in PC Gamer was not based on the PC version of the game, but rather the Xbox version. There are still many months left before the game goes gold so there's no reason to assume that the PC and Xbox versions will be identical.
To reassure PC gamers, GR2 Producer Robbie Edwards recently stated in an interview: "We've had a lot of experience with PC games and there's no reason to make those people unhappy; so we're going to put the same amount of effort into the PC version that we are the Xbox version." |
