I created a "moblog" which is a mobile blog that people setup using camera phones. I stumbled across a pretty cool site that lets you take pictures from your camera phone and upload them straight to a photo gallery you can sure. I don't really have anything interesting on there but you can check mine out here:

hey

long time no talk

im actually here because i have a few questions for a cop, that no one other cops wants to answer! :)

maybe you could, if not thats cool

1. when i get pulled over can i ask the police officer to see the radar gun that he clocked me with?

2. can i refuse to take a ticket? what would happen if did?

I got pulled over last december at a ridicoulous (sp?) speed.I was speeding but not that fast..

i just got done with court and all that crap and am kinda curious now..

thanks in advance

Hey man what's up. Glad to hear from you again. Those are pretty basic questions, I don't know why other cops wouldn't want to answer them. I can explain how things work in Texas, not sure about other states :) You can ask a police officer to see the radar gun but he has no obligation to show it to you. The main reason in my opinion is a safety concern. My radar unit is in the dash of my car and I have no interest in having you get out of your vehicle and come back to mine to look at the radar.

When you sign a ticket, you aren't stating that you are guilty. All you are saying is that you promise to contact the courts within X amount of days. In Texas you can't go to jail for speeding, you have to be issued a "Notice to appear" (ticket). However, if you refuse to sign the ticket (promise to appear in court) then you can be arrested.

The bottom line is, don't speed and you don't have to worry about stuff like that :) Many drivers SWEAR they weren't really going that fast when in reality they were going 15-20 over. That just happens when you aren't paying attention. The key thing you said is that you knew you were speeding. If you are going to speed you have to be accountable for your actions! It's noone elses fault but your own that you got pulled over :)

I see you have race horse pictures up already. Do you mind me linking to the movie of kissy racing on my blog? I put an ad for 3dretreat by the link to movie and a note that you were generoulsy hosting the movie. My current image host only allows pictures. Hey! It's free, so I can't complain.

My "Lady at the park" section is getting quite a fan base. Check it out.

You should use my fart machine on the park bench and recreate one of the Mr. Bean scenes :)
