Today is Veterans Day in the U.S. and Remembrance Day in countries of the British Commonwealth. Let us all take a moment today to remember those who have sacrificed their lives for us, and those who now bear arms to fight for our freedom.

Below are two links to some excellent reading material to help us remember both soldiers past and present:A recent thread at the GR.net forums has a collection of poems to commemorate the sacrifice of soldiers in years past. The America's Army website has a weblog of a U.S. Army officer who has chronicled his service in Afghanistan. It gives us a good look at what challenges our soldiers are facing today. |
