More information is surfacing about Ubisoft's legal battle with Electronic Arts over five former senior Splinter Cell development team staff. The following ex-employees (SC credits in brackets) of Ubi Soft Montreal resigned in July 2003 to join a new Electronic Arts studio in Montreal: Antoine Dodens (Lead Programmer), Steve Dupont (Lead Animator), Hugo Dallaire (Art Director), Marc Bouchard (Technical Director 3D Art), François Champagne-Pelland (Lead 3D Artist/Lead Level Designer).

Ubisoft says they signed a non-competition agreement that prohibits them from working with any other game developer for a year, and EA is challenging the legality of this. Read an English translation of an early article in French here at Video Game Stumpers, and the latest news here at GameSpot.
