Here's a little summary of the latest info coming out about how ATI will be labelling their 9xxx series of graphics boards:Radeon 9000 Pro - ATI marketing has unfortunately labelled this board in the 9xxx series, which gives the impression it is a DirectX 9 board, but it really only supports DirectX 8.1. It uses the newer RV250 core which is comparable to a Radeon 8500LE and actually slower than a Radeon 8500.Radeon 9100 - Because of the above choice of naming the Radeon 9000 which may give buyers the impression it is faster than anything in the 8xxx series, ATI is re-naming the DirectX 8 level Radeon 8500 (R200 core) as the Radeon 9100.Radeon 9200 - This is built on the RV280 core which is basically a Radeon 8500 with AGP 8x supportRadeon 9500 Pro - This is a true DX9 card based on the R300 chip, but using a 128-bit memory interfaceRadeon 9600 Pro - This is built on the RV350 core and is ATI's first chip to use 0.13 micron technology.Radeon 9700 Pro - The R300 with a 256-bit memory interfaceRadeon 9800 Pro - This new graphics board should be coming out in March and is based on the new R350 core.Radeon 9900 Pro - This is the same R350 core but with 256MB graphics memory.
