Ubi Soft has issued this press release announcing that Island Thunder for the Xbox will be out this summer! The best news is that this new campaign disk will be stand-alone and not require owning the original GR. Because of the shorter campaign, it will likely retail for a lower price than the original. It seems the main focus of this release is to expand on the multiplayer aspect of GR, which is one of the most popular Xbox Live games.
Xbox Island Thunder's features include:Xbox Live compatible
Downloadable content (unlike the original Xbox GR)
8 mission single-player campaign set in Cuba
8 multiplayer maps ranging from desert to city to jungle
4 fan-favorite levels from the original Xbox GR converted to multiplayer maps for additional Live play
12 game types |
