I got some more info from a friend in the UK regarding more differences between the US and UK versions of Level 8 in Black Thorn. Besides having a huge 747 (instead of a row of buses) parked outside the terminal in the UK version, there are luggage x-ray/metal detector machines, and different international travel ads posted on the walls. There's also a walkway from the second floor to the airplane (although it is blocked by a door), which makes more sense since there are waiting chairs on the second floor.
Also, instead of taking place in South Africa, the UK version takes place in Kenya. Here's a copy of the intel for the UK version:
"Operation Blunt Scroll. Terrorists have seized control of an airport outside of Mombasa, Kenya. After landing in a cargo plane the mercenaries stormed the terminal and took a group of students on holiday as hostages. Your mission is to rescue the students and escort them back to the extraction zone." |
